VCI corrosion protection

The secure protection of your high-quality metal products against corrosion during transportation and storage, be it steel coils, flat steel or metal components for automotive production, guarantees the satisfaction of your customers.

Our range includes highly effective corrosion protection products based on paper, crepe or polymer coatings. The corresponding formulations are processed as an aqueous solution by roller or spray application or by complete impregnation in the creping process. Polymer-based formulations are applied to a given carrier material by extrusion coating.

We distinguish between traditional formulations and modern nitrite-free (soft VCI) solutions, both of which are effective both in contact and at a distance (VCI = volatile corrosion inhibitor). As the VCI components spread in gaseous form, metal surfaces are reliably protected even in hard-to-reach places such as between flat steel plates or in hollow bodies. A corrosion protection atmosphere builds up in the closed packaging in a very short time. As crepe products in particular have a large reservoir of corrosion-protecting components, the protective atmosphere can build up again completely even after the packaging has been opened briefly and then resealed.
