What all crepe papers have in common is a defined elongation in the machine direction (10% to 200%), a higher thickness (50µ to 600µ) compared to smooth paper and therefore a much larger surface area. But that’s where the similarities end! Thanks to different papers, a wide range of impregnation chemicals and additional finishing materials, there are almost no limits to the possible variations and applications of our crepe products. The production range extends from “simple” stretch crepe for wrapping furniture parts or stainless steel profiles to high-purity crepe papers for insulating current-carrying components or fabric-reinforced VCI crepe composites for a wide range of corrosion protection applications through to refined products with the highest demands on the homogeneity of the material webs. Despite being highly specialized, the majority of uncoated crepe papers can be reused as waste paper and meet the criteria of the circular economy. In the case of shipping packaging, for example, synthetic materials can be replaced by crepe paper, enabling the packaging to be recycled in the first place. FISLAGE flexible “sewing crepe” is ideal for closing bags and sacks after filling and thus offers a resource-saving and recyclable closure option for the sack industry.
Crepe paper made from 100% recycled paper
- e.g. general packaging applications, basis for simple corrugated cardboard,
Crepe paper made from 100% recycled paper
(dyed with increased tear and breaking strength)
- e.g. as sewing crepe or to reinforce the spine of a book
High-purity crepe papers made from preconsumer secondary fibers
- e.g. use in the insulation and cable sector
Crepe papers with a defined pH value
(also with VCI inhibitors, PE coating and fabric reinforcement)
- e.g. for corrosion protection of various metals and system components
Bitumen crepe
- e.g. for cable production
Crepe / polymer composites
- e.g. for siliconization
