FISLAGE Flexibles is a recognized specialist for technical composites.
Our range of services includes various manufacturing technologies. This, combined with the use of different substrates and a wide variety of coating and laminating materials, allows us to generate product properties that lead to new possible uses, even in established applications.
In cooperation with our customers, FISLAGE Flexibles develops products with special properties for new market requirements. The possible applications here are diverse and almost unlimited:
- sustainable packaging for convenience products,
- Representative surface composites for brand displays (to influence the purchasing behavior of consumers),
- “intelligent” multilayer composites (with moisture-variable diffusion resistance),
- Functionalized papers (sealable, barrier properties) that can be returned to the material cycle
Even “old” issues can be revived, such as reducing weight while maintaining the same physical properties, increasing strength, optimizing barrier properties or air permeability.
Examples of applications for FISLAGE Flexibles specialty products can be found in almost all market segments such as the electrical and cable industry, construction and insulation, aircraft and automotive construction, publishing, the traditional packaging industry and many more.
Electrical and cable industry
- Coated aluminum strips with a thickness of up to 300µ for the production of high-performance cables
- Bituminized crepe paper as insulation in power and communication cables
- high-purity crepe papers with very low electrical conductivity for conduits and for the production of insulating, flexible pipes and sheaths
- High-purity paper laminates for winding transformers
Construction and insulation
- Multi-layer film composites with maximum tear resistance as carrier sheets for special adhesive tapes in large-area flat roof insulation
- Coating and lamination of foams as insulation and insulating membranes (also with defined remission properties)
- Sealable paper webs with high thermal stability (< 200 degrees) for the production of flexible pipes in heating construction
- Crepe papers with pore-tight coating for siliconization (release liner)
- Crepe papers (as backing material for wallpaper)
Aircraft and automobile construction
- Cardboard / film laminates with the highest surface quality requirements
Publishing
- Crepe papers (with high breaking strength) as book spine reinforcement (book spine crepe)
